Kayce Madancy: Teacher shortage is a statewide issue; Alliance districts hit hard

As of May 2023, districts across Connecticut were short 1,300 teachers and 1,300 paraeducators. As of July 2023, about 51,000 educators quit their jobs across the country and left the profession entirely.
