17 tips for having a great cruise down the Nile River in Egypt

Cruising leisurely down the Nile River is one of the most popular tourist activities in Egypt. A cruise might not be as much fun as you think, if you don’t follow these tips.

Nile cruise boats line up alongside each other during stops to visit temples along the route from Luxor to Aswan. Cruisers then must step from boat to boat to reach the shore, where they find large crowds also trying to see the temples. Prepare yourself emotionally for the crowds, because most if not all of the Nile boats cruising the same route stop at these temples at the exact same time.
