Patrick John Charette OBITUARY

Patrick John Charette passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 12, 2025. Patrick was born in Van Buren Maine to John B. Charette and Gertrude Jacques. He was 92 years old.

He served in the Army from 1952 through 1960, when he was Honorably Discharged. He served in the Korean War and was awarded the Korean Service Metal, 2 Bronze Service Stars, United Nations Service Metal, National Defense Service Metal, and the prestigious Combat Infantry Badge.

After serving in the Korean War, he attended Ricker College in Houlton, ME. He married Maxine Arsenault and started their family in Houlton, Maine before moving to Hartford then Glastonbury and eventually settling in West Hartford for 60 years.

He is survived by their beloved children Mark P. Charette (Colette) of Glastonbury, Peter E. Charette (Rachel) of West Seneca NY, Paul J. Charette of Tucson AZ, and John A. Charette (Lynn) of West Hartford. He leaves his beloved grandchildren Jennifer (Kevin), Claire (Ryan), Eric, Karah, Brendan, Benjamin, Tucker, Elizabeth, and Katherine as well as four great-grandchildren Solenne, Ian, Mackenzie, and Aidan. He is also survived by his brother Gerald and sister Miriam.

Patrick’s career had a few positions, but he dedicated most of his professional career to building the family office furniture business, Business Invirons. Through his tireless efforts, he developed and grew the company, initially based in West Hartford before relocating to Rocky Hill, CT. Outside of work, Patrick enjoyed playing golf and spending time with Maxine, their children, and grandchildren, especially during board game nights.

He was a former member of the Hartford Golf Club and the West Bay Club in Estero, FL, where he cherished hosting family vacations during winter months.
