Philip Joseph Hagaman, 77, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. He was a resident of Niantic, CT in his beloved Black Point Beach Community for the past 20 years. He was born in Hartford, CT on June 18, 1947 to his parents, Ann Trudon Hagaman and Philip Alberta Hagaman. His early life was spent in Terryville and Bristol Connecticut. Philip was a graduate of St. Anthony High School and educated at Hartford Institute of Accounting and Bentley College.
He leaves behind and will be missed by his wife of 53 years, Andrea, his son Ryan, his grandson Wyatt and his mother Christine Cassidy, along with his many friends, especially Fran Borrelli and Roy Springer. He was predeceased by his parents Ann and Philip Hagaman, and half brother Valdon Hagaman.
Philip’s career was in the automotive industry. He was a self employed car buyer for over 40 years attending auctions throughout New England and Southern states. He was well known and respected by car dealers in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York. He had a great love of the ocean and boats. During the summer months he could be found cruising the waters off the coast of Connecticut, New York and Rhode Island. Philip loved entertaining and fishing with his family and friends aboard his Boston Whaler, Finally. In later years he became and avid golfer and enjoyed early mornings on courses across Connecticut and Rhode Island. A memorial service will be celebrated on January 18, 2025 at 11:00 am at Christ the King Church 1 McCurdy Rd. Old Lyme, CT.
