Daniel J. Harrison, 75, of Ellington, beloved husband of 22 years to Cheryl (Kinney) Harrison passed away suddenly at his home on January 10, 2025. He was born on February 25, 1949, in Hartford, son to the late James Harrison and Margaret Francis.

Dan grew up in East Hartford and was a graduate of East Hartford High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, Dan was employed at the Glastonbury Post Office for over 30 years before his retirement in 2004.

In addition to his wife, Cheryl, he is survived by his daughter, Kim Michaels and her husband Scott of Felton, DE; his grandchildren, Dawn Michalski and her husband Brice of Dover, DE, and Steven Michaels and his wife Jessica of Bridgeville, DE; his great-grandchildren, Abigail, Blake and Paisley; his step children, Chris Spencer of Ellington, and Jen Hamann and her husband Jon of Greer, SC; as well as his step grandchildren, Alexis and Aiden. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, James Harrison.
