David Robert Langlais

August 24, 1975-January 6, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of David Robert Langlais on January 6, 2025. David grew up in Windsor Locks and Broad Brook, CT and graduated from Howell Cheney Technical High School in Manchester, CT. He was most recently employed by C W Knight Oil and Heating in Windham after working for many years at Ahlstrom in Windsor Locks. David served in the United States Marine Corps from 1993-1997 as a helicopter mechanic and received letters of distinction for his service to his country. He led the prayers at his Marine Corps graduation and took on the role of conducting the daily prayers for his fellow soldiers throughout the duration of his enlistment.

David was a kind, intelligent, hardworking, spiritual, respectful and overly generous man. He never hesitated to help others and worked tenaciously to make sure that all their needs were met. He had a great sense of humor and his amusing stories and anecdotes were appreciated by all. He truly brightened the day of anyone he met. He loved all creatures great and small and found much happiness and contentment in the great outdoors.

David is survived by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Langlais of Broad Brook, CT, his twin sister Debra (Langlais) Gonzalez and her husband Tony and their three children Monica, Marissa and Noel Gonzalez of Groton, CT, his sister Deborah (Langlais) Bender and her husband Ron of Lebanon, CT, and their three children, Dan Bender, Maria Korossy and Joseph Bender. David is also survived by Lynn Green, his partner and best friend of several happy years.

A private memorial service for immediate family and friends will be held at the State Veterans Cemetery In Middletown, CT.
